Residential Program

Management and direct care positions are available in Arc’s group homes and Supervised Apartment programs. We provide Residential Services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities ranging from those who require total physical care to individuals who are independent within their communities.

We have the following full-time, part-time, and per-diem positions available for days, evenings, overnights and weekends.

Associate Residence Manager - Assists Residence Manager in management of daily activities to residents and supervision of staff while creating a safe, congenial home-like atmosphere within the residence.

Assistant Manager – A staff position responsible for assisting residents with their daily living skills, transporting residents to appointments, and providing recreation activities for the residents. Currently available: 20 and 40 hour per week positions, including overnight.

Substitute/Per Diem – Work in a variety of group home settings on an as-needed basis.


Adult Services Program

The Adult Services Department provides training to individuals in a day program setting. This training includes: socialization, daily living, and vocational skills. The goal of the Adult Services Department is to provide individuals with the necessary training to facilitate growth and independence in a community setting.

The following positions are available at this time:

Substitute/Per Diem - Work in centers on an as-needed basis.
 

Arc Resources Unlimited: (Freehold Raceway Mall)

Arc Resources provides job coaching services to people in community based employment as well as provides respite services for people living in the Freehold area.

The following positions are available:

Job Coach/Employment Specialist (Substitutes) - Screen and evaluate employment candidates and make recommendations for suitable employment.


Arc Employment ( Red Bank)

Job Coach/Employment Specialist (Substitutes)   - Screen and evaluate employment candidates and make recommendations for suitable employment.
 

Work Opportunity Center: (Long Branch)

The Work Opportunity Center provides a variety of services, including vocational, evaluation, work adjustment training, sheltered employment and pre-vocational training. The center handles a wide range of sub-contract work including general assembly, shrink wrapping, packaging, heat sealing and bulk mail processing.

The following positions are available at this time:

Business Development Specialist - p/t  24 hrs./week, eventually leading to f/t.  Bachelor's degree in business, human services, rehab or related field with food service management experience pref.  Ability to assist person's with developmental disabilities to establish a worker cooperative to open and operate a food service business within the Work Opportunity Center.

Substitute/per diem - work in center on as needed basis.


Health Services (Tinton Falls)

The Arc's Ambulatory Care Center provides many health related services to people with intellectual disabilities. There are primary care physicians, a psychiatrist, psychologists and therapists on staff. The center has also expanded its services to include dental care.

Recreation

The Arc’s Recreation Department serves over 800 participants per year in various programs. Some popular programs are Monday and Thursday night dances, bowling, track and field, golf and Special Olympics. The Recreation Department offers special holiday parties, day and overnight trips and fundraising events. Children and young adults with severe physical and intellectual disabilities are served on Saturdays in the Saturday Respite Program.

Hersh High School

The Dorothy B. Hersh High School is a fully accredited and approved private school serving students with intellectual  & developmental disabilities ages 14 through 21. The goal of the school is to help students develop the skills and attitudes necessary to function within the adult community.

Thrift Shops

The Arc operates two thrift shops in Red Bank and Matawan.
