Adult Services

Please note that we have changed the name of our Adult Training Centers.  In keeping with The Arc’s theme of “Achieve with us”, we are now calling the programs “Achievement Centers”.  The new name reflects the commitment of The Arc to provide many opportunities for persons attending the centers to learn and grow.

From activities of daily living to pre-vocational/vocational skills to socialization, four Achievement Centers provide a wide spectrum of opportunities to served individuals from the age of 21 upward.

These opportunities include activities for which individuals earn pay (e.g. selling items they make, performing subcontract work for local businesses); volunteering options; socialization groups; and community outings. IMG_0096

Through the centers, served individuals experience physical health activities  as well as assistance with academic, artistic, social and daily living skills pursuits.  In addition to the Western Monmouth Achievement Center and combined Meridian and Eatontown centers, the agency provides the Shore Program for individuals with significant disabilities and the Green Grove Specialized Achievement Center which assists people with behavioral and psychiatric needs.

The Atlantic Services custodial program is comprised of served individuals who are employed as crew workers and supervised by staff crew leaders.  These paid crews are hired for indoor and outdoor custodial work by homes and businesses, and have a contract with the county’s Office on Aging.
