A major part of this month’s community-based awareness efforts is a new art show entitled “Autism Awareness Month: Inclusion Works!” currently on display at The Arc of Monmouth’s Red Horse Gallery (Freehold Raceway Mall, 2nd Floor). The exhibit features artwork created by students at Manalapan High School, artists from Helping Hands Art (a program in conjunction with the Howell PAL), students from the Coastal Learning Center and a collection of posters which were part of an art contest sponsored by the New Jersey Coalition for Inclusive Education. This exhibit is currently on display through May 22nd, with a “Meet the Artists” reception on Tuesday, April 9th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
The next exhibit at the Red Horse Gallery will be on display from May 22nd through July 17th, 2013. This exhibit will feature artwork created by local artist Joe Cardillo and is titled “It Caught My Eye”. In addition, VSA New Jersey is pleased to present the 2013 Art Par Excellence touring exhibit comprised of original art reflecting the talent and creativity of students through age 21 from public and private schools throughout the state. There will be a “Meet the Artists” reception on Tuesday, June 4th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The gallery is open from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM on Monday through Friday.
